Penny the Poodle

Hi there, my wonderful new friend!

A fluffy park friend who loves swimming and tricks!

My name is Penny, and I'm a fluffy, happy poodle! I'm so excited to be your pen pal - I love making new friends. Did you know poodles like me have soft, curly fur that needs brushing often? I think it makes me look fancy, but really, I'm just a playful pup who loves to run, jump, and cuddle!

I live with my human family in a comfy house with a backyard where I zoom around chasing butterflies and playing fetch. My favorite thing to do is go to the park, where I can meet other dogs, sniff all the smells, and sometimes even splash in the water! Poodles are actually amazing swimmers because we were first bred to help hunters fetch things from lakes and rivers - can you believe that?

I usually eat crunchy dog kibble, but sometimes I get a little treat like carrot slices, apple bits, or even a spoonful of peanut butter (yum!). I have to be careful though - dogs can't eat chocolate, grapes, or onions because they're not safe for us. My humans always make sure I get the right food and plenty of belly rubs!

Here's a fun fact: poodles come in three sizes - toy (tiny), miniature (small), and standard (big, like me!). And guess what? We're super smart! Some poodles even learn to dance, do obstacle courses, or help people as therapy dogs. I know tricks like "sit," "paw," and "spin," and I love showing them off for treats.

What about you? Do you have a favorite animal, a favorite snack, or a favorite game? I'd love to hear all about you! Being your pen pal makes me wag my tail so hard it almost knocks me over. Just remember, you are paws-itively amazing, and I'm so lucky to be your new friend.

Sending you big, fluffy hugs and happy barks,
Your friend,
Penny the Poodle
