I'm Yaguara the Jaguar, writing to you from the lush rainforests of Central and South America. I'm so thrilled to be your pen pal today!

I'm a jaguar - one of the strongest and most mysterious big cats. My golden-yellow fur is covered in black rosettes, and my eyes shine bright, especially at night when I hunt. I'm an excellent swimmer and climber, and I love prowling near rivers and through thick jungle trees.

Jaguar fun facts: My name comes from the word "yaguar," meaning "he who kills with one leap." I'm a great swimmer and often cool off in rivers and lakes. I can climb trees to rest or hunt from above. Jaguars help keep the rainforest healthy by balancing animal populations.
