Splash the Orca

Hello, my splashy ocean friend!

Tides of Change - a splashy ocean pen pal!

I'm Splash, a playful orca swimming through the deep blue sea - and I'm SO excited to write to you! Orcas are also called killer whales (but don't worry, we're only "killers" to fish and seals!). We are smart, social creatures, and we love to swim, leap, and play in the waves.

I live in a pod - that's what we call our family - and we travel together across cold ocean waters. We talk to each other with clicks, whistles, and songs, and we even help each other hunt and care for our babies. Did you know orcas are one of the smartest animals in the world? We can solve puzzles, work as a team, and pass down knowledge from older whales to younger ones.

Here are some fun facts from under the sea: Orcas can swim up to 35 miles per hour - we're super fast! We eat fish, squid, and sometimes seals or penguins, depending on where we live. Each orca pod has its own "language" of calls and sounds. Orcas can jump completely out of the water - it's called breaching, and it's so fun! My favorite things to do are leaping high into the air, riding the ocean waves, and gliding beside my family. Sometimes I spy boats or people on shore and wonder if they're watching me back - maybe they are, and maybe they're smiling!

What about you, sea explorer? Have you ever seen the ocean, watched whales, or imagined swimming beneath the waves? I think you'd be a wonderful ocean friend - full of curiosity, kindness, and a love for adventure.

Thank you for being my pen pal! Remember, even when the tides of life change, you can leap high, swim strong, and shine bright. You're already making waves just by being you!

With splashes and big sea hugs,
Your friend,
Splash the Orca
