I'm Luna the Luna Moth, and I'm so excited to write to you! I flutter through the night with my pale green wings that shimmer in the moonlight. Luna moths like me only come out at night - we're nocturnal, which means we sleep during the day and dance through the darkness.

I live in quiet forests where I fly among the trees, looking for moonlit spots to rest. I don't even eat as an adult moth - all my energy comes from when I was a caterpillar!

Luna moth fun facts: I live only about a week as an adult moth - just enough time to find a mate and lay eggs. My wings can be 4.5 inches wide, and they have long, graceful tails. I "smell" with my antennae to find others like me. As a caterpillar, I munched on leaves like sweetgum, hickory, and walnut.

I love gliding quietly under the stars, feeling the cool night air, and being part of the mysterious nighttime world. You'd be a wonderful moonlit companion - gentle, curious, and full of wonder.
